If it was a serious relationship involving love, there is no true time limit. It all depends on when your ready. I would say six months. You never know, but if you try going out and it doesnt feel right. You would know that means your not ready.

It depends on the person. I mean you should wait the "two week period", which most people say is long enough to get over it, but it depends on the individual. Only move on when you think you are ready. Although a word of advice on that: Don't wait too long. You don't want to be pining for a person so long that you miss a great person for you.
