Jn:5:14: Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Jn:8:11: She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

So you all are correct, Jesus would not ask you to do something that is impoosble to do, therefore go and sin no more.

Do you believe it is possible or not possible ?

Chances are pretty good that the man knew the sin that Jesus was referring to that brought about the affliction.

Since the sin that was about to cause the woman to be stoned was adultery, I believe it was totally possible for her not to commit adultery again.

The Bible says if the Son of God shall make you free then you shall be free indeed. The Bible also says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Jesus makes the impossible possible! Jesus also said few find the narrow way that leads to life. When you have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10), the death that sin brings becomes grievous - something to be avoided at all costs.

Listen Up !!!

Go And Sin No More !!

How self-righteous can you be to think that you can or will Go and will sin no more.

God and Jesus gave commandments in the old and new testament to make people realize that they can not obey them. Are you perfect and sinless.

There are too many self-righteous people, giving answers on Yahoo Answers, instead of choosing to be honest and humble. If a person does not know the answer, don't answer it or at least say, "This is only my opinion."

And when you give a true legitimate answer, list all your sources, don't just simply give a scripture reference. Anyone can interpret a scripture, twisting it up.

Give answers from the Hebrew and Greek texts. Provide REAL Sources, not mere, useless interpretation of scripture,
The religious hear enough of that from the churches they go to.

If I tell you to have a wonderful day, am I commanding you you must have a wonderful day? No! This is the vain in which Jesus spoke those words, not as a command, but a suggestion.

We have a free will and Jesus knows.

Sin is a human, socially constructed concept. What is sin in one culture, may not be sin in another. Therefore what one views as a sin is completely subjective based on ones own socially constructed view of the world.

The truth is:
Jude
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

According to Jude it is.

We are always sinners, becuase we still think things we shouldn't and do things we shouldn't, but if we are willingly sinning, then we aren't obeying Him. By honestly turnging from our sin and doing our absolute best thru Him to not sin anymore, then we are obeying Him, and He will bless us.

Of course. I've never sinned in my life.

But I'm not a christian and don't believe in sins, so it's a bit easier for me.:-)
