The egg came first.
The first chicken came from the first chicken egg that was formed though evolution and mutations in the genes. The egg technically came first, as the chicken was probably an evolution from a sort of prehistoric ancestor. You can't have the chicken come out of nowhere, it's commen sense. You CAN have the egg before the chicken. It's NOT possible the other way around.

To answer some of the other questions, just because it is a chicken egg doesn't mean it came from a chicken. The mutated genes inside the egg is the beginning of the first chicken. It's mother was some sort of prehistoric ancestor.

The egg comes first, Because....
The question is, chicken or the egg. But yet fails to specify, what kind of egg, now, dinosaurs ruled the earth thousands of year before the chicken was "born", so, the egg. dinosaurs laid eggs!!

obviously the chicken because if we believe that Adam and Eve were made by God; we should believe that he made a chicken the same way!!! Adam and Eve didn't hatch from an egg!! so therefore the chicken didn't either!! you got owned!!! hahaha jk

Most likely the egg. That is where the mutated gene developed the fetus into a baby chick. It's part of evolution.

Hmmm... I noticed how a lot of your initial responses were changed when I first mentioned the reason for it being the egg first. LOL That's shady, people!

This is actually a very simple question.

The Chicken.

An egg can't survive without the warmth of a chicken on top of it, and constant turning. There is no possible way an egg would be around long enough to hatch and make a chicken.

This question is like saying "which came first, the Homo Sapien or the Homo Sapien fetus?"
