I occasionally get these symptoms, blurred vision, I can hear but not really comprehend (if that makes any sense), my knees get really weak. I have never fallen to the ground but I have gotten very close. These symptoms happen all at the same time and they don't last more than 5 seconds. This has been happening to me for about 7 years. I don't take any medication. I get 2 physicals a year. Any Ideas as to what this might be?

I'm going to talk to a doctor soon. Thanks, for giving me an idea, that was all I was looking for.

it could be a number of things...vertigo...low blood pressure...low sugar levels...anything...but what really screams out at me are seizures...there is more than one type of seizure and one just happens to be where you just get a blank look feel weak and know what's happening around you but you can't comprehend it...these are called petite mal seizures and they can last anywhere from 5 seconds...to 2 minutes....but get a checked out..be sure to tell the doctor everything..i suggest taking notes in a journal about how you feel during this time and the events leading up to it...it could be something like a light that's triggering this...so be very specific...

1. Have you described these symptons to a family doctor?
2. If you havenot you should.
3. It sounds like low blood pressure, which could be caused from low insulin levels, which means you should eat a piece of fruit every couple of hours.
4. you need a medical opinion.
5. it might be somethng more serious like epilepsy or ministrokes..do you find that one side is more blurred than the other..do you have migraine symptoms ever?

Sounds like an ITA - it's a form of mini-stroke. Doesn't always have lasting effects, but it could portend a major stroke. Have you shared this information with your doctor? S/he may want you to have an EEG to find out if there is any brain impairment (which could be caused by blockage or scar tissue from the bleeding) or a cat scan to find out if there are any damaged areas. S/he may also want to prescribe medication, such as Plavix, to help blood platelets flow more smoothly over each other, and help cut down the risk of future incidents.

It sounds like you are having small seizures. Have you told your physician about these? He/She should send you for an EEG to make sure your connections in your brain are working properly. If left untreated and this is whats happening, you could have a grand mal seizure-at any time. Go to the doctor and tell them to send you for testing.

Have you told your doctor about this malady? If you haven't, I surely would...It could be mini-strokes...My dad had plenty before he died of a bigger one...Check with your doctor, and see if he can connect you with a neurologist...
I wish you the best of luck...

You could have vertigo. It happens to my mom sometimes. It can be caused by many things. But, that is just one possibility.

Please go see your Dr. immediately, rather than rely on the diagnoses from people on Yahoo! answers. If you aren't happy with a Dr's diagnosis, get a second opinion.
