With respect to Mitch and Laura, I don't believe their answer is correct.

The international dialling code in the UK is 00 not 0011.

Also, they have forgotten about state area codes.

So if you are sending a fax to NSW it would be 00 61 2 XXXX XXXX where the X's represent your 8 didgit number.
Replace the 2 after the 61 with 3 for Vic/Tas, 8 for WA/SA, 7 for Qld Etc.

I hope this helps.

what you need to do is dial 0011 to first get out of the uk, then 61 and then the area code of the place your sending you fax too so if your sending to
WA/SA/NT your area code is 08
QLD area code is 07
NSW/ACT/Lord Howe Island area code is 02
VIC/TAS area code is 03

after which you then type in the phone number of the place your sending too, so for example if I lived in Western Australia and you were sending me a fax you would need to dial 0011 61 9843 1223 and then I would be able to receive your fax or phone call, different rules for mobiles, you still have the 0011 and 61, but then you need to drop the leading zero from an aussie mobile number so instead of it being 0403 423 699 it would be 0011 61 403 423 699.

Hope this is of some assistance.
