if I wear a nice neat braided hairstyle, Why don't some bosses like that? Why do people raise flak about the hairstyles? It's nothing extreme like purple hair or cut strangely.

I feel you but that is taboo to people in the work force unless you work at a salon. Most bosses want you to be presentable. You just need to know the time and the place for certain styles. For example you rock some purple hair in da club and you look throwed but to work u will get some very bad criticism on your lack of professionalism
