My mother does not act like a mother or do her job as one. She treats me like crap. She acts more like my friend. She calls my sister bitches and hoes, but I don't let her try me like that. I practically take care of myself or my other family help out. My aunt offered to take custody of me but you know she was saying no. Is there a way I could prove to the courts that she is a bad parent and I'm living in a bad home, and that I have family members that are willing to take care of me at no cost. There has to be a way. I'm not going to be bad and runaway like most kids so she could have the police come after me. This doens't make any sense. I have no type of parental figure here or support. I could go somewhere else to be treated like crap. I feel that If i have another place to go to get love and support and financial care i should be able to. Parental rights should be able to be signed over or taken someway. At the other house I will have a mother and a father plus siblings to love me.

Yes, you can get "emancipated" from your parents and this is a situation in which the judge may grant in your favor. Check these sites out and try and get more proof of your mom behavior for the courts.

I dont know what state you live in but in california you only have to be 14 to get emancipated from your parents.

Divorce no you where never married, but you can either apply for emancipation or you can have your prospective guardians apply for permanent legal guardianship with custody. If neither your parent or your prospective guardians challenge the change the courts should rule in favor of this petition.

Change of guardianship would be far more likely to be granted than emancipation. Emancipation would declare you a legal adult responsible for all your own support, and is not likely to be granted until you are proven able to take care of yourself.

yes apparently you can . there was a case in the news some time ago. A 15 year old boy wanted to divorce his parents . I cant remember the out come or the reason. I would suggest to take this up with the childrens aid society . Your mom cant handle the stress apparently and this is her way of showing it.If you dont know how to contact them call your local police department.

I would say like if their is any physical or neglecting abuse then I would say get one of your brothers or sisters to take pictures of the bruises or record something neglective your mom may say. Other than that you have to wait till a certain age!!! Good Luck!!
