There are many religious views on this subject and I wanted to see what yours were and what you felt about the teachings of your religion. What is Bible based and what is human belief from what you have learned and experienced in life.

the life after death is life in heaven with Jesus and we who believe will all be sent to the heavens with Him.

Every time i think of death, yes. There is really no way to "prove" an afterlife. Even supposedly near-death experiences or memories of a previous life or a soul can be explained away as illusions made by the brain, or false memories.

I'm nominally a Christian, but I'm not a fundamentalist. At least I'm smart enough not to trust a book written 2000+ years ago by primitives to dictate what I think.

I'm almost certain that death is truly the end, and we can only live on in the love (and the reproduction) of the next generation.

Eternal Life in Eternity -

In the height of heaven (Job 22:12), in the third heaven (2 Cor.12:2) God inhabits eternity (Isa.57:15) and dwells in Zion (Joel 3:21, Ps.23:6), the city of the living God (Heb.12:22).

Christ chose us (the church of God – 1 Cor.10:32) before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love (Eph.1:4): and He gave those He chose eternal life (Jn.10:28-29, Jn.3:36, Jn.17:2).

Having been given eternal life, we in Christ Jesus are passed from death unto life (Jn.5:24), never to die, to live with God in Eternity (Isa.57:15), in His kingdom (Dan.7:18, Dan.7:22), an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that does not fade away (1 Pe.1:3-4).

We are of the household of God (Eph.2:19).

From an Islamic point of view, I do believe in life after death...

It's either eternal life in Heaven or Hell, depending on one's deeds during his life time

I think this is the basic belief that Christianity and Judaism have as well, isn't it?

We are mortal beings. One day this mortal will put on immortality. The body will die. The spirit, which is the breath of God, and the soul, which is the memories, life experiences of a person, goes on forever for those who accept Christ as the saviour. Life exists after death only for those who believe in Jesus Christ and confess him as their saviour.

Nope, never had to wonder about it. I just believe in life after death based purely on faith.

EVERYTHING is perception and belief except for direct experience where the self completely drops away. Everything other than that is just speculation, belief, opinion, hope, delusion, etc.

I used to wonder, but now I know that I will be with my Father in Heaven in a place that he has prepared for me :)

There's no evidence for it.

People seem to have no problem realizing that they came from nothingness, but seem terrified that they return to nothingness. Just seems to be the natural order of things, no mysteries required.
