I neglected to mention that we live in Santa Rosa, Ca where the party will be held. That might help!

It might help if you tell us where the party is going to be held so that someone near might respond. Also, if he's a member of the DAV or VFW, they'd be more than happy to show up and render him the salute he deserves.

My suggestion is that you call your local VFW, or American Legion, they would be willing to send out a couple of Vietnam vets or maybe even younger guys than that. If this doesn't work, the local Marine reserve unit might be able to accomodate you.
Good luck, and happy birthday to your dad on his 80th!

Call the VA office in your locality.

Call the local highschool ROTC group.

Your father can also receive a birthday card from the President on his 80th birthday. Look online for the whitehouse website or write the whitehouse in DC with the request and dates. If you write, it has to be at least a month in advance.

Contact the local American Legion or the VFW's. They have men and women that would be very honored to salute your father.

Are you nuts?

Why are you going online to ask people to come to your home that you don't know.

In case you haven't noticed there are militant anti american shhitbirds on the site who would love to come to your home and slit your father's throat.

DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR ADDRESS.

Get a yahoo or hotmail address and ask other vets to send him a happy birthday message and a thanks for his service.
