What make a wiccan a wiccan?

Do they have anything to do with dead people? or with Satan and Demons?

They believe in spells and potions, but only use them for good and never for evil.
Still doesn't make it right though.

No, Wiccans have nothing to do with dead people or Satan. Wiccans believe in a God and Goddess, and they worship (hold in high regard and revere) nature.

If you ask 10 Wiccans what they believe in, you'll get 10 different answers.
In general, they believe in both the God and the Goddess (or the Lord and Lady). They are very intuned with nature and believe that everything has balance.
They don't believe in Satan or Hell because those are both Christian creations.

Wiccans are centered a lot around the feminine aspcts of spirituality. Many worship the Goddess instead of the God. A great site for info is religiostolerance.com

i think that answer might vary from wiccan to wiccan. since i'm one of them, i'll give you my thoughts and hope they make sense. i believe that there is a male and female greater power (god and goddess if you will). i believe that all the gods/goddessed we've learned about are just a piece of the greeater powers that be. i believe in harming none. i believe that we can and do create our own magic. i believe there is an essence in all things, including rocks. i believe in power that comes with the moon cycles, and seasons and the earth.....
