Technically the noun 'moment' is underlexicalised. In other (less pretentious) words, it is short on meaning, and the context in which it appears help to define what it is supposed to mean. Underlexicalised words are hugely useful in the English language because they allow a great flexibility of meaning.

aproximately one moment = one half of three quarters of nine tenths of 5 so yep there you have it an official length of time for a moment.

No - a moment 'just is' and it may last as long as you want it to only to end should something happen to 'disturb' this 'space in time'.
