Told you to kill your children as a "test" to see if you would obey him, and you didn't know it was a test, would you do it?

Yes. I'm referring to Abraham and Issac.

God told Abraham to do it, but when abraham was about to smite Issac, God stopped him. So I guess God is a monster huh? It's all in the Bible.

God won't do that.

He said as much.

If you were familiar enough with the old covenant (Old Testament) and the new (New Testament), you'd know that God will no longer ask such things of people.

I'll just say let's be thankful he never will because he already asked Abraham who is the "Father of our faith". I think Abraham was the ultimate example of our need to be obedient to God. After that test he multiplied his children into the Jews and Arabs of today and made his family wealthy and blessed. I don't think we have to worry about him asking anyone else to do that again.

I'd make darn sure that it was actually God talking to me.

Actually, because this scenario has already occured (with Abraham) and is recorded in the Bible, there would be no reason that I can think of for God to repeat it with me.

Like Abraham, I would hope that if an angel came to me I would have enough faith to carry out Jehovah's will.....The bible said these things were done away with.

If I started hearing the voice of God, I certainly hope that some sane people would have me put away before I killed my kids.

No because I am a minute part of the whole of creation that IS god and I am a co-creator in my world. And as a minute particle of god I would never create this is my world!
