Take a minute to look at history and observe how absurd people’s beliefs were. When there was a storm out at sea, it was because Poseidon was upset, and when lighting was cast down from the sky, Zeus was the one chucking the electric charges to Earth from Mount Olympus. Zeus had an all powerful son, Jesus…I mean Hercules who rode around on a flying dog…wait, that’s “The Never Ending Story”. The point is things have changed, right? That series of beliefs has come to be known as Greek MYTHology.

How are things different now???

Please someone explain the logic of God to me, I am seriously interested and not just trying to be a religion basher.

Please help me

wont a good book, then read the light and the glory.
it is a history lesson that tell how early history was made.
for instance science said that the world was flat until Christopher Columbus read the bible and discovered that the world was round.

No, it's not a fairy tale. The bible is the true and spoken word of God. Perhaps if you don't believe in God, the reasoning behind it is uncomprehendable. But I, as a believer, believe that God is in control of my life. Nothing is by accident. Meeting people, being in the right place at the right time, opportunities given to me, everything is controlled by God. I also believe in Heaven and hell, and I believe that if a person does not have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they will not enter the gates of Heaven.

I wasn't aware that fairies had tails. And so it is intriguing, at least, that you are asking whether supernatural principles and concepts are appendages of fairies.

Unless you mean fairy tales, which is a whole other matter.

What is different now, between Christianity and Greek mythology, you ask? Greek mythology is one example among many where humans sought to understand and explain their existence and experience. Christ's appearance on earth is the one example of God coming to live among people and explain to them their existence and experience.

Religion is man seeking God, Christianity is God seeking man. The logic of God is to know who created you, what your purpose is and where you're going. Kind of like an adopted child seeking thier roots.

Religion is pretty crazy these days.

Think about all of the people who would still be alive if it wasnt for the crusades and 9/11 and all other incidents inspired by religion

No - fairies dont have tails. Fairies dont exist.

But I do beleive religion is a FAIRY TALE. Like youve pointed out - Christianity and Islam and Judaism and all other modern religions will die a slow death just like their more ancient counterparts have done over the centuries....

Christianity has no more evidence to support it than any other religion.

I don't know why people will spend their lives believing something like this when anyone with their marbles intact wouldn't trust a used car salesman. Why do they believe this with no proof?

Sometimes HE answers prayers, sometimes HE doesn't. No different than random chance, just like we atheists experience.
