From men, inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the Scriptures, which contain the word of God. These in turn have been interpreted through the ages and have filtered down to my specific theology, morals included. No, I don't believe in slavery although technically (according to Rousseau) I'd make a good slave. And I believe in military service, although once again Rousseau is right, there is no reason I should care about duty to my country. So I take my values & morals largely from the Bible and I can scripturally justify the rest, I guess. Good question.

The Holy Spirit....lives in you and guides you to righteousness.... unless you rebel.
Not all Christians have the spirit. God has graced me with a measure of it :)
I got it early in my conversion and before I read alot of the bible. I wondered why I did certian things and later I'd see them in the bible and realize the Holy Spirit led me to follow God's word. The bible was actually a source of confirmation.
Hope you can respect my answer.....I was not converted by a pack of wolves either, I called on God in prison hooked on cocaine and He answered. I have been clean from drinking, drugs, fraud and kiddy porn ever since. Also out of jail and have no criminal record...my lawyer could not even explain that one!
It hurts when people make fun of God, He has changed me so much. Christians would want their beliefs respected as much as you or anyone else, and I try my best to do that. I hope you have tried to do the same and continue to! thanks
Thanks alot, have a great evening!!!
love
david

I'm an atheist but I'll go out on a limb for this one -
1. God,
2. Jesus,
3. Bible,
4. Church.
But I'm just guessing ...

Is this the answer you wanted? Not from Ted Haggard, the Bakkers, Jerry Fawell, Pat Robertson, and the kinds like these.
