I just started dating someone and we seem to be running out of things to do fast, mainly because I'm an unemployed full-time student right now. Our past couple dates he has insisted on paying because he knows I'm beyond broke and I don't think it's fair to him. Does anyone have any fun, simple ideas that don't require too much money or travel? (I don't have a car, he does, so driving would mean he's paying for gas)

How about a picnic in the park? Buy some sandwich stuff and some cheap chips and make some Kool Aid. Take a Frisbee along for entertainment.

Do a picnic...on the floor in your house/apt. Don't fix too much...just snacks and nibbles. You can watch tv together that way, or play a board game. It can be really fun and not expensive. Even PBandJ sandwhiches with cheetos and kool aid is ok. It makes it like being a little kid again. It's silly , but it can be really fun.

Make dinner together.
Play board games.
Rent or borrow a movie.
Just go to the mall and sit and watch people.
Visit with other couples as broke as you are.
Have a progressive dinner, where you only fix one course, and you travel from house to house eating one course at a time.

Guys dont mind where to go. If you dont mind, then suggest a park or golf course stroll, with some hot cholocate or coffee for the cold.

The stars as a backdrop, the cold, you huddling together, and the warm drink on your hands. Very romantic.

If you live somewhere near the water, walk down to the beach, and lay under the stars.
