NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Children learn by playing that is their work! All dittos teach a child is to copy something.
According to Early Childhood experts they are not developmentally appropriate to children, not to mention those who are earning their degrees in this field are taught to never use them. They even suggest not using coloring books.

However I do have an exception to the rule suggestion:
As long as the child can color the pages any color they want (like a purple cow, red grass, or even a blue tree, and so long as coloring outside of the lines is okay then fine.

NAEYC (the National Association for the Education of Young Children) says that quality schools should almost never (very rarely) use dittos. Dittos stiffle the creative work of children, and preschoolers have no business sitting for long periods of time doing "paperwork". Preschoolers learn by doing and manipulating, so real life experience is far superior to dittos.

It is a proven fact that children learn by doing! Using copies once in a while isn't a bad thing but daycare centers need to keep the kids active. They can learn by making letters out of play dough, writing their numbers in colored shaving cream on the table.
They need to use their imaginations and get the kids away from the pencil and paper and get them moving!

Absolutely - it is preparation for kindergarten when a child needs to be able to do lots of seatwork. Sounds like that kindergarten is staying right on top of things.

It depends on how old the children are and if you want them to learn or not.
