What are some things to do in Christainsburg or Blacksburg Virginia that would be educational for an 8 year old? I want to send him down to visit his father and grandparents but he will only be excused from school if there is some sort of educational value. Any "real" ideas would be great! I don't wanna hear any stupid sh** like sexual stuff, I'm talking about my kid here so please respect that!!!

It's for the week before christmas, the first day off for christmas vacation is saturday the 23. And maybe because he wants to see his dad's side of the family that he only sees twice a year. This is the only time they are able to have off for work during the christmas season. And i want him here for christmas day! --so THAT'S why he will be off school

WHY IS HE GETTING OUT OF SCHOOL WHEN IT'S NOT A HOLIDAY. YOU COULD ALSO CHECK WITH THE LIBRARY FOR THINGS IN THAT AREA. LIBRARY, ZOO, MUSEUM, ECT. HOPE THIS WORKS OUT FOR YOU AND YOUR SON.
