It's on your left hand on your ring finger. If you have a separate engagement ring AND a wedding band, you first slip on the wedding band, then the engagement ring goes on top. I constantly observe several women wear their wedding sets in the wrong order. The wedding band should sit closer to your knuckle and the engagement ring sits closer to your nail. On the day of the wedding, the bride will usually wear her engagement ring on her right hand on the ring finger so her groom can slip her wedding band on her left ring finger during the exchange of rings. After the ceremony, she can simply slide her engagement ring on top of her wedding band.
