What does my dream mean?

Question

Sometime last week, I had the oddest, and sickest dream. I was in some house upstairs. There was this elaborate bedroom, that looked very much like my mother's bedroom, but smaller. It also had these beautiful doors that you would find in the Sims 2. I was walking out of the closet in that bedroom, and my father (my parents are seperated), asked if I needed him to have sex with me. I said yes. We had sex, but when we had sex, it was not my father, it was some other man. I don't know who. When I was walking out of the room, a girl from my school, and her mother, were stading by that bedroom door with some man, trying to listen to the sex.

I don't really love my dad, as a dad or as anyone. He's okay. Really selfish, childish and imature. What does my dream mean? (I am 13)

I don't know if this helps, but there's a Freudian term called the "Electra Complex," similar to the Oedipus complex in males. I looked it up in Wikipedia, which has this to say in the first few paragraphs--

"The Electra complex is an ambiguous psychiatric concept which attempts to explain the maturation of the human female. It is said to be the female counterpart to the Oedipus complex in males. Its name comes from the Greek myth of Electra, who wanted her brother to avenge their father Agamemnon's death by killing their mother Clytemnestra.

According to Sigmund Freud, the girl is originally attached to the mother as well; however, when she discovers that she lacks a penis during the phallic stage the daughter becomes libidinally attached to her father and imagines that she will become pregnant by him, while becoming more hostile towards her mother. This is due mostly to the idea of "penis envy": that the girl is envious of her father's penis She believes that the pregnancy would replace the missing penis which she envies and would allow her to gain equal status with the father."

Anyway, I don't think you should let it bother you. For the first 18 years of a girl's life, her father is usually the most prominent male figure, even after she begins dating. Having no grounding in psychology, I can't say how common such dreams as yours are, but they're obviously not unheard of, and as long as they don't translate into reality, you should be okay.

Still, advice from a trusted counselor is probably the way to go.

Honey, nobody can tell you what your dream means except God. You need to go talk to your mother and ask for some kind of inevitable help!!

well honey...i am 14 and am kind of the same way.........i dream my biologial dad did the same...(parents divorced) its just something that has made a bad influece on your life...you need to tell a councelor or doctor or someone that u can trust..hope this helps
