Pies or Sandwiches?

Sandwiches. Noone ever said that's the best thing since Pie. Instead they say, that's the best thing since sliced bread, which is the defining part of a sandwich. Plus they are portable and don't require a fork.

Ok, I'd have to say sandwiches. Though pies are yummy and come in many flavors there's nothing like a sandwich with mozzerella, tomatoes, pesto sauce grilled on panini bread
or
a hot chicken parmagiana sandwich with melted mozzerella
or
a rare roastbeef sandwich with swiss cheese and a horseradish sauce
see there is just so much you can do to a sandwich. Ugh I'm really hungry now...

Without the wheel, there would not be sandwiches or pies. Sandwiches are probably best as they can be made more healthy than pie.

Both brilliant inventions! But the answer is toast!
Why? Because it's toast!
Out of the two options given though, I'd have to go with sandwiches. Meat/cheese plus some kind of lard spread plus bread, you've got all your food groups covered there!

Sandwiches. You can take 'em anywhere. Pies are a little more involved.
Sandwiches are like dating, but pie is commitment.

Can't beat a hot pie on a cold day after shopping and wash it down with really hot, sweet tea. No wonder Scots people like me are so healthy. Sandwiches are for posh people who cut crusts off and eat cucumber (how disgusting is that - veg on bread - yuk).
