Yeah sure, if you want to do it the Republican way.

Where does it say that Jesus forgives no matter what in the scriptures? That is what religious leaders of Christendom have their congregation members believing. You go out to Iraq, fight in combat, kill innocent ones, than say "Jesus forgives me." Or someone who commits a heinous crime, many say that "God will forgive me."
"You reap what you sow." - Galatians 6:7,8. People have this notion that they can live in any way they want, but when tragedy strikes, then such ones beg for forgiveness. These people are called hypocrites. Many in false religion play this trick, as if God does not see our actions [even in the dark].
Moreover, how can you convert just before death if you have not clue how long you will live. If you were a person who practiced in loose conduct and then die at a time you do not expect, then what? Not such a genius move is it?

That is like the parable of the sower- one who heard the word of truth but then was swept away by the world- And it is a FALSE conversion.
Those who are saved in Jesus Christ repent of sin, and WANT to- because they Love him with all their, heart, soul and mind. God knows exactly what you think and what you do--He knows if your heart is truly wanting Him- and believing in Him. Therefore those who ask these silly questions---are NOT serious about the truth of God's word. That is a scary place to be in. There is nothing more important than knowing Jesus Christ as your personal savior- and the time is NOW.

I have a friend who lives her life like that. When I confront her, she becomes very very defensive and basically always retorts with "Jesus already paid for whatever sins I commit so I can do as I please...".She calls herself A Christian Woman who cheats on her husband, gambles, eats way too much, lies, is lazy and is adamant about obtaining a Power Position at her local christian church. What the hell...I have to wonder.

Not if u commit the sin of Blasphemy against the Holy spriit. There's also a verse you need to read at Hebrews 10; 26- 31 about willful sinning.

Because that is an abuse of God's mercy.
It has been related by many saints that many people have lived evil lives planning to make good before they would die.
But God in His justice took them by surprise, because as you will to live, so shall you die.
But the sinner who truly converts is different.
He is doing evil, but in a kind of ignorance of God and His law.
When God sends His grace to that person, and he corresponds to that grace, then he converts.
That person can be saved because it is not an abuse of mercy as in the first case, because while he was living an evil life, he did not know about that mercy to abuse it.

1. Because God will not be decieved by a last-second "conversion". Insincerety will get you far in the business world, but not into heaven.
2. You don't know when you will die. It might be 5 minutes, it might be 5 years, it might be 50 years. You just don't know.

You will get into Heaven by accepting Jesus as your personal Savior but you still are held accountable for your life and the decisions you made with the free will God gave you.

I asked that very same question when I was about five years old! Looking back, I now understand the blank look on my mom's face. Her answer was something like, "God knows your heart. If you're repeating the sin, you have a sinful heart, blah blah..." Bless her heart; her religion is hypocritical. I didn't fare well in Christinsanity. I asked too many questions and was told that Satan was trying to "deceive" me. But there's nothing wrong with your philosophy according to what I've seen.

That sounds good but you never know when death will hit you.
So I ask, do you want to take that risk? God gives us the choice to do as we wish. I'll pray that you make the right choice...
Blessing to you :.)
