When I've used it in the past I've had to put it on at bedtime and then wash it off when I take a shower the next day. Be careful with how much you use b/c you may be allergic to the aluminum chloride. I am, so I use just a little bit at a time. It really has helped me though

Margo..my Father passed away in 1995. I was at his bedside. He had not spoken for 2 days. I talked with him for hours and told him it was okay for him to let go. We would care for Mom, he did not have to worry. He spoke.."Alright.' He passed a few hours later. He waited for us all to get home, waited for permission to leave. Mom passed away unexpectedly, suddenly in 2003. Valentines Day had me on a plane. I never got to say good bye to her. And I think about that every single day. No it's not unusual to have dreams about loved ones who have left. Not at all. It is simply a sign of the love you have for them. I also think it's their way of telling us that they are still with us, even if only in our hearts. I am sure however, that they are not too happy when we have sad dreams. So what I do is, the moment I realize what the dream is, I force into a happier time. I make myself remember the good times, not the sad. Since I started doing that, I have been able to either fall back asleep, or if it's time, wake up with a smile. I hope you can do the same.

Put it on at night, just before you go to bed, like you would deodorant. It will probably itch a little bit, but it works.
