Firstly, in honour of the late C E M Joad, it may depend on what exactly you mean by the various terms you use.
That's not a trivial opening for miscommunication.
Is an ethereal plane a given, capable of definition, or is that a hypothetical construct too?
Taking reality and non-reality in a popular sense, the nature of reality will be a question for anyone delving into philosophy and the mind. Simple visual illusions are all that are required to distinguish between "perception" and "reality".
There is discussion that self-awareness may only be an illusion of identity (following Libets' and others' experiments on brain potential and subjective experience)
And a url is given for the discussion that an individual's subjective existence is more likely to be a computer simulation than "real life", which may be closer to what you had in mind.

Dear Pam B: What you have just said is, of course, the Truth of our Being-ness. It takes spiritual study to know and understand this. I'm so pleased to hear of people speaking out with the Truth of our Creator, our Home within Him, and the illusionary-type reality of the physical experience.
I have learned to speak of our spiritual being and it's true world as Reality , and life in the physical (which is always inside our spirit Mind and nowhere else) as Actuality. That is how I make my differentation.
I take joy in spiritual students "witnessing" God's Truth - for so many continue to deny our Reality and desire to continue in the Separation which took place not in a Garden of Eden, but in Eternity with our God. Mind to Mind - Thought to thought.
Thank you for coming forth!
Best Regards, Lana

Reality is an event or structure that exists outside of thought...
Existence is that which takes up time and/or space.
All stuff that exists is not necessarily real because you have the ability to pretend, so ALL thoughts can only exists within your mind.

Absolutely. Quantum Physics is almost a new religion in itself.
Ever wondered where your fingertip stops and the keyboard starts? On an atomic level that is.

The ultimate reality is God. We are the projection of something pre-destined.

That is senseless babble.
2 Timothy 2:16
But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness,
And I also agree with farhansal
