No...and why would we ask? I can figure out why some other middle east countries and even a couple of European countries might consider asking them to "help".
But my bet is that there are hundreds (at least) of people from both those countries already in Iraq. And I doubt they are helping to rebuild schools or hospitals.

The simple notion that Bush may now be considering asking Iran and Syria to help with Iraq is the latest thing this administration has done to show that they're clueless and inept.
Kind of like telling North Korea "hey get rid of those nuclear weapons, and by the way when you do, kiss your asses goodbye."

It sounds to me that GWB is trying to appease liberals. They would see this as a real positive step forward.
I sure hope we in the US, who can see through the folly of these rediculous democrats, are able to nip in the bud, their attempt to replicate the end of the Vietnam war as it pertains to the current conflict in Iraq. I'm afraid that left to their own devices, these leftists will destroy any chance the Iraqi people have at becoming an independent and strong democracy!
I'm deeply concerned that our country would ever consider pressure from the left to end a war, like we did in 1975. The shame and guilt we as Americans suffered because of that act, should never again, happen to a new generation of true Americans.
Unless GWB is attempting to apply child psychology to the Iranians and Syrians, I could see no possible way he will ever get cooperation from these two country's. It almost sounds rediculious that he would consider such a thing, unless, of coarse, Nancy Pelosi asked him to do it.

No, it doesn't make any sense at all. In fact those two countries, and especially Iran are one of the main reasons things are so bad over there.
That idea seems to be coming from our new democrats in charge. I worry about the direction of the war now.

It's an admission of the failure in Iraq and all the misleading propaganda that's come from Bush and Blair.
