My boyfriend said one of his friends has a glittery tattoo.
Or is it just body glitter?

i'm pretty sure there is no "ink" with glitter in it. ink is forever. it seems like the glitteryness would come off with your scab and/or get into your bloodstream. i could be totally wrong but i've never heard of it and i hang out with my tattoo artist on a regular basis.

No, there is no such thing as glittery tattoo ink. Sorry. :(
If you want a glittery tattoo, however, choose the tattoo you want, have it done by an artist of your choice, then wait until it is FULLY healed (talk to your artist about this), and then apply some body glitter to it.
That's the only way you're going to get a glittery tattoo, besides the press-on ones.

There is no permanent ink that has glitter in it, so tell him that if it was a permanent tattoo it was more than likely body glitter. But if you think about how that would look, that's a pretty cool idea, I just may have to try that!!!!

I had white a white tattoo on my sleeve (a butterfly) but it did not really take to my skin. They can work but it depends upon your skin type. Not heard of a glitter tattoo, I confess. However, there are some very bright inks available nowadays. I am sure a good artist can give you the look you want with the correct shading.

Real tattoos do not glitter. Glitter inserted under the skin would cut you. And glitter inserted under the skin would no longer glitter!

the only glitter ink tattoo i heard of is the glitter pen where u can draw on your self with it but that's it.

no i dont think so and if there was it wouldnt be safe . glitter are loose pices of metal, plastic whatever and they could get into your blodstream and who knows what could happen to u

Tattoos are basically ink colored scars.
I bet it was probably a fake sticker tattoo.
