Get rid of the cat. Why have it if your not going to let it get up on anything?

I kept my cat out of my christmas tree by making a train of chewing gum packets, which i gave away to all my friends after christmas. he hated the smell of peppermint.

I kept him from unrolling the toilet paper by setting a coke can with bolts in it on top, which fell off and startled him when he tried to play with the roll.

The only way I've been able to keep my cats off the furniture is by closing the doors to the rooms I don't want them in. Maybe you should try furniture covers which can be removed when people want to sit or lie down.

This is usually a tough question. I once squirted mine with a spray bottle then she wouldn`t come to me for 2 weeks so I quit that procedure...Yelling did not help either just upset myself. Eventually I decided to put clean flat sheets on my sofa, bed and my chair when they get dirty I just toss them in the washer. We have to remember that it has been stated A cat owns you...otherwise you don`t own the cat!!!!that`s why they are so independent cause we are trained to do everything for them but it is out of our love for them!!!!!

You should not have an indoor cat, if you don't want him to have full access.

Either let him stay outside when you're not home, or give him to someone who will.
Cats don't like to be in a prison all the time, which is what you're doing when you lock them in your house.

Get a little spray bottle with water. It doesn't hurt 'em and in the long run will work. Good Luck!

I tossed mine off with a GET OFF enough times that he will not go on my bed, table, or chairs. My Mom lets him go on her bed and and chairs and table and he will do it if I'm not in there. If he sees me he doesn't dare because he knows I won't allow it. He's smart he doesn't want to get tossed.
