There is a guy from my school who has had a crush on me for about 2 years now. Is it reasonable to go up to the guy who I think solely of as a pal and just make his day and give him a hug? I was thinking about it, is it something that is ok for me to do?

If you like him as more than a friend then sure. But since you said that you like him solely as a pal, then no. He will probably get the wrong idea and you will be leading him on. Be careful.

well sweetie, giving a hug is okay but make sure u dont hurt his feelings coz u say hez taking u as more than a frend but whereas ur saying u jus take him as a pal then better to make it clear to him before giving the hug tht u only consider him as ur pal so that he wont feel hurt after that..

Sure! Why not? A hug is not going to lead him on, if that is what you are thinking. If you want to hug him...go for it!! Just say something along the lines of, "Your such a great friend" when you do it.

please do not play games with people, a hug can be interpreted in so many ways. just look at all the questions that appear here on just that "what does this mean when she gives me a hug" You may think there is no harm meant but unless it is clear do not go there

It is something you would regularly do? If not, then I wouldn't....you don't want him getting the wrong idea. You'd not only make his day but you'd also give him a false hope that something could be between the 2 of you. Hope this helps!!

Yeah it's okay to do. But he might take it in a different way. He has a crush on you, and if you have no intentions of ever dating him, don't get his hopes up. But if you like him as well, go for it

I don't think it's a good idea to give him any false hope if you don't have those type of feelings for him. Just be his friend and don't get any more physical with him as it may give him the wrong idea.

It's only ok if you make it clear that it was onlt a friendly hug and that it meant nothing more. Otherwise you won't be making his day you'll be playing with his heart!
