Payless has wide shoes but I don't think they carry xw shoes. I know Striderite carries xw for his size. Also you could try skate shoes. My husband and son both have wide feet but love the skate shoes like Etnies and Vans.

Be careful cheap soes can prove to be false economy. Not only do they not last as long as a pair of Clarks they can also damage a child's feet, which could have repercussions for them in later life.

Try an old-fashioned shoeshop, Elefantine is a continental shoe manufacturer look up on the web for stockists. They are expensive but ask when the sale is on. Try Brantano as they also stock wide variety of brands you could try them. Hope this helps
