I talked to my x on two occasions. First being 40 minutes and the second five minutes. During the first call, she said that she still thinks about me and the second she does not want to be a friend. Why?

Because she realized during the first call that she really didn't want a relationship with you, and depending on how quickly you called backl (i.e. within 24 hours), she likely is afraid of whatever broke you up in the first place - maybe a little obsession on the part of one of you?

Gangster is probably right. But why would you talk to your x for 40 minutes? Just a thought, but why not find a girl that you may actually have a future with, not an x. Stop picking thru the trash trying to find some left-overs, go to the market and by something new.

Did she say she didn't want to be a friend cause she wants to be more or that she doesn't want to talk to you again? Maybe she was hanging on to you cause she didn't have anyone else. Could be that she found a new love and doesn't want to talk to you anymore. Either way, an ex is and ex for a reason. Move on and leave the chick alone. Relationships are hard enough without the head games.

In the beginning she probably thought that the break up was too soon and her feelings for you were still there. The second call may be that she's confused by her own feelings and doesn't want you be your friend so that she can forget about you.

Did you do something to hurt her again? Did you hurt her feelings? Why is it "ex" in the first place? Maybe she is not willing to forget and forgive. Girls change a lot. They can get moody from time to time. If you feel that it's not worth it going through the relationship again, move on and build a better, more loving relationship where both sides will compromise and get along better. Good luck!

Well, this could be becasue she doenst want to bring back bad memories that made her hurt in the past or maybe she really still likes you a lot and thinks you dont wan tto get back together and she wants to leave you in past, if you dont want this then tell her and explain to her ask her directly why she doesnt want to be friends?

If she likes you and still thinks about you, but doesnt wanna get back with you, she doesnt wanna get talking to you and fall for you again. Girls are like this;; they avoid things like that. She still likes you but doesnt wanna be with you for whatever reason. I dont know if I helped;; but I tried and I hope I did!

She needed to to get that last ounce of emotion out of her. She needed to know for sure that she had made the right choice. I habe done that as well. It's not malicious but it happens.

It sounds like she missed you so she called you to tell you that, and then later realized that she made a mistake and had to be quick to tell you she doesn't want to be friends.
