BULLDOGS, THEY ARE MEDIUM TO LARGE AND THEY WOULD PREFER TO NAP ALL DAY, THEY DO NOT REQUIRE A LOT OF EXERCISE. CHOWS, DO NOT REQUIRE A LOT OF EXERCISE BUT THEY CAN BE AGGRESSIVE. ST BERNARDS, GREAT DANES, GREAT PYRENEES, AND NEWFOUNDLANDS ARE LARGE/GIANT DOGS BUT THEY DO NOT REQUIRE MUCH EXERCISE AND THEY ARE PRETTY LAID BACK THEY ALSO REALLY DO NOT EAT ANY MORE THAN A MEDIUM TO LARGE DOG BUT THEIR LIFESPAN IS SOMEWHAT SHORTER. ALL OF THESES ARE LOVABLE SWEET CUDDLY&LAZY. DO NOT GET A LAB OR A GOLDEN THEY ARE FOREVER PUPPIES WITH AN EXORBANT AMOUNT OF ENERGY AND SPAYING OR NUETERING DOES NOT CHANGE THIS WITH LABS AND GOLDEN RETRIEVERS OR ANY BREED THIS IS A MISCONCEPTION A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE.

Labs are NOT lazy! Unless you adopt an older one - you are in for about 3 years of high energy. That is why there are so many in the shelter. Please be prepared if you follow these others advice. I help to rehome these dogs all the tiime.
I like a retired Greyhound for the size and lazy factor. MOST are big couch potatos. Find a local rescue group - the one in my area does a fantastic job of fostering these guys and matching personalities of the dogs to families. I helped my parents get one and he is Lazy! He only gets excited to ride in the car. He is calm, easy to walk on a leash, very acoomodating. And usually they are about 2 years old, already crate trained.
Good luck

I think they are considered to be a medium sized breed; they are really right between medium and large. I have owned boxers who were 55-60 lbs and a boxer who was 85 lbs, all of them healthy weights. So an individual dog could actually be of medium size or large depending on its genetics and enviroment as a pup. My feeling is that a lot of people see a boxer as a large breed 'cause they have a lot of presence!!

German Shepperd's most definitely. Labs are to hipper active.
It also depends on the age of the dog also. Any dog under 2 is still a puppy. The older they are the calmer they are at least in some breeds. Not all breeds

The Great Dane is a great dog. Ours is totally laid back, very lovable & great for cuddling! He is however on the larger side of large.

Newf. I guess they are giant, but whatever. They fit the bill!
I think the "lazy" part excludes most Labs. Sorry.
