I have a bag of Great Northern Beans and a ton of recipes for Navy Beans I would like to know if I can use them in the recipe instead of the Navy beans. I know Navys are smaller thought would I have to adjust water or anything?

Thanks!

Yes, I think great northern beans would work fine.
They are about the same, just a little different shape.
I cook both and there is not a lot of difference.
I even use black beans instead of pintos in chili recipes.
Most beans can be exchanged, one for another.

yes there are about the same thing. as afar as the water goes. it really depends on how much liquid you wish to have.
i can tell you my g-ma taught me that it is best to salt the beans about 1/2 way through cooking that way the beans will be extra tender.

hope you enjoy your meal,
jan
