My mother (45Years old) has bipolar and she is like this, but if your sister is in her teenage years its might be because of her hormones if she is and adult, well it may be so she is, i suggest you communicate with your family and seriously consider curing her, before its too late, its too late for my mother as she cant accept it.

I don't know how old your sister is. But I do suspect that you have no degrees in Psychology and there for no-expertise to diagnose your sister or anyone else. You do seem to be a strong observer of your sisters behavior and perhaps genuinely interested if something is wrong with her. I think you should go on line and research bipolar disease. After you've done some serious reading on the subject ask your parents if you can talk to them about what you've read and your concerns for your sister. There is too much information missing from your presenting question for even a skilled professional to make a diagnosis with a clinical means test. I think you should do your research and ask your parents to sit down with you and listen to your concerns. Best of luck.

If she is young, like under 25, she may just be growing up and/or going through growing pains.

if she's a fully grown adult and has these problems, she should talk to her family doctor, not necessarily a therapist or psychologist. They can direct you what to do next.

Either way, it's not your call to make. Bipolar doesn't necessarily mean laughing one minute and crying the next - it's much, much more complex than that.
