why do u cut thousands of (christmas) trees every year when it is known that the tree provided shade to jesus(peace be upon him)?
isn't that being cruel to the tree? shouldn't you be respecting it by letting them grow?

no rude answers, i will report you

A few million trees cut by non christians too. What is wrong with cutting trees, they grow again. Did you know that there are more trees on this planet now than there were in the 1920s? There is no shortage. A friend of mine went fishing up north in Canada and got in a small plane and flew for two days and for the whole time, as far as he could see was nothing but forest. He said I will never let those people who say the forests are diminishing deceive me again. By the way do Muslims have Christmas trees?

I think the tradition of cutting trees @ Christmas is a man made one similar to Easter hunting eggs. Its not meant to be cruel to the trees just a way of Jesus birthday & giving gifts @ same time.
If we let the trees grow they would eventually smother out the ones that need to grow also. When people cut the trees they should also plant a tree bud in its place.

We have a Christmas tree every year in remembrance of Jesus' birth. Sometimes it is an artificial tree, but other times we have a real tree. After Christmas in Louisiana, we recycle the trees into the rivers and swamps because it helps the fish, and our coastal environment.

A better question is, why do Christians invoke the pagan ritual of communing with nature in the act of bringing a tree into there homes, instead of practicing the teachings of Jesus Christ. What dose "CHRIST'S MASS" have to do with pagan rituals? It's his mass.
Stop the pagan rituals.
This day is about Jesus Christ.
Its his day. Do what he says, give to the poor, the lame, the needy. Not just to your families.
I hope the holy sprite opens your eyes and hearts.

Trees have nothing to do with Jesus, other than him being the creator. A nativity set should be the appropriate symbol during Christmas.

many ppl purchase plastic and wire trees but nevertheless the trees are planted for the purposes of being cut thereby providing a necessary source of carbon absorbtion during their growing period that would otherwise not have been there had it not been for the demand for the trees.

Also many ppl purchase root balled trees!

Also everything is energy!! nothing is damaged it is transformed maybe into valuable compost!

God gave us the trees to use. We don't believe in misuse but when we plant trees just for this purpose and there is plenty of them there is no problem with that even as Jesus used trees to warm Himself by the fire.

No.

And I wear leather shoes and a leather belt and my house is made of wood and I eat animals and drink their milk and I have a really nice beaver-skin hat with ear-flaps and I will probably burn a few logs in the fireplace tonight because it's cold outside.

These things were made by God for man. We have dominion over the earth and the animals. Not the other way around.

maybe you should be more concerned about how your religion treats women than about trees!!!what about in some places where they mutilate women so that they have no pleasure[plus many girls die from infection because it is done in a crude way!![don't you consider that cruel???]or how an african muslim woman was raped but because she didn't have 3 male witnesses to verify it,will be stoned once she has weaned the child??do you not consider that cruel???maybe there should be more respect for women don't you think!!!
