There are many websites that I really enjoy to visit that have everything to do with learning German and German culture. You might just want to go to de.yahoo.com (the Yahoo! Deutschland version). Here you can read the news, watch videos (with German audio too), and tons of other German-related things.

You might want to try www.travlang.com/languages if you would like to learn some German phrases. This site isn't as good of a "learning" site, but if you're not too concerned with learning all the grammar in the beginning, this might be a good start.

Another website I really like is www.blinde-kuh.de (which is a children's site in German). Because of the fact that this is just a site for children, most of the vocabulary is relatively simple and you can search for items in simplified German.

Try the BBC's website for learning German. I believe there are a few programs here to get you started. You might want to go to about.german.com which contains German lessons along with literature, film, and anything you could possibly want to know about German and German culture.

Sorry the list is long, I hope it helps! Viel Spaß!!

why, you'll be taught German free of charge from a german pal or any individual. If you occur to satisfy a German character, make peers with them and they'll finally educate you Germany.

I've heard that German is one of the easiest languages to learn. Maybe in the beginning your cousin can teach you. Remember, Helen Keller was both deaf and blind. She managed to learn to communicate.

I think this is the best website to learn German for free:
http://german.about.com/index.htm?terms=german
They even e-mail you a lesson per week, they have vocabulary, pronounciation, etc.

Good luck!

I learned German from this site (free of charge). The site contains MP3 files of the audio portion, and PDF files of the written portions.
