Hopefully most atheists know that most christians really are good hearted people. it's that the few bad ones make the news more often. the bigger the christian, the harder the fall. look at the evangelical preacher from last week.
I prefer funnel cake.

Each group that you mention has a few bad apples. And generally (to generalize) the bad ones feel they speak for all and are the most visible, giving an impression more are like that.
Pancakes are OK with a couple eggs and maple syrup on top. I prefer waffles as well but that takes getting the waffle maker out. You can make pancakes on the cast iron pan out camping.

Answering as a Christian...
It makes me very angry, when people deliberately portray Christ and Christianity in a false manner, in order to slander God and other Christians. Sometimes I wish the word LIAR would appear on their forehead, like a mark of the beast that they are. That way nobody else could be hurt or misguided by their deceptions.
Ignorance is just embarrassing. I feel bad for people who put their foot in their mouth, because they aren't familiar with their true faith, but won't admit it out of pride.
Pancakes? Depends on what is in them.

I don't much care for pancakes, they are too bland and spongy. However, I've always felt that the more misguided atheists will find their way in time, and thus will cease to make the public think we all eat babies and worship satan. It seems that most atheists are good people, and don't do stupid things in the name of some mythological creature. I suppose I like the majority of those I converse with.

It's annoying to see, what some of us Pagans call "Fluffies", give the rest of us a bad image. Annoying for me anyway. But I don't apologize... I try to correct it when I come to it. That's all we really can do. There's always going to be someone giving the rest of any given group a bad image. Not much we can do about it.
So long as they don't have blueberries on 'em, pancakes are fine. *wink*

Pancakes are alright. I prefer French toast....;o)
You don't have to answer for anyone but yourself. Unfortunately for any group the loudest and most obnoxious get the most notice. Tis the way of it. Just show the difference in yourself. That speaks more than any apology you could give on behalf of anyone else.

I tend to worry more about my own behavior and hope that my light shines. I also refuse to judge an entire group based on the actions of a few. I am sure there are others that do this as well.
I like pancakes very much. I don't find them offensive.
BTW, I always enjoy your questions and answers.

There are ...(how can I put this lightly?)... "bad examples" in every religion. The way I look at it, I don't see these "bad examples" as actual members of the religion they claim to be. I will also encourage others to understand their differences; it helps to discourage dangerous religious misunderstandings.
Those "Muslim" terrorists that destroyed the Twin Towers? Those weren't Muslims - they were "religious extremists."
Those "Christians" that spout hate about gays, others' rights to abortion, stem cell research, etc.? Those aren't Christians - they're "religious extremists."
Those "Satanists" that abuse cats in graveyards at midnight and worship the Christian “anti-Christ” Satan? Those aren't Satanists - they're...well, they're "posers" but that's not the point...
The point is, pancakes are AWESOME!

There *are* people who give Pagans a bad name. What do I do about them?
I don't invite them to my religious services. I don't support them in being the public face for Pagansim, and I do my best to show by example that we're not all looney nutheads.
And, sometimes, I apologize for their behavior.
As for pancakes, I love them - potato pancakes, apple pancakes, barley pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, griddle cakes with bacon fat in the batter, crepes, savory or sweet, puffy or delicate, all kinds. I'm very (small-c) catholic in my appreciation for pancakes.

there arent any people in my group or athiest group that can give a bad name because everyone has the same point of view for the most part. the only bad thing that would happen would be insulting religious people but that happens to everybody
