Well we don't taste with our teeth. Our tongue is used for tasting, it is divided into sections that taste a certain taste, For example one part of the tongue has sweet receptors on it, another part has sour receptors on it and so on. Our tongue is for tasting the food and our teeth are for grinding it up so it will digest better.

we don't taste with our teeth!!!
most of the taste experience is olfactory (smell)which can trigger salivation
the tongue has groups of taste buds dedicated to different tastes (salty, sweet, spicy, etc)
other than that, I can think of lots of fun things to use a tongue for
