Yes i am the middle child, It was tough with my grandma (dads mom) she did not like me at all she played favoritism over my older sister and younger brother. She did pass away. My sister did not see it at all my mom did she stood up for me all the time.

I would like to show the positive side of being a "middling". I always seemed to be the peace keeper, between the olders (2) and youngers (2). This made me a very good problem solver, which has been very useful in the business world. So, while it may seem that as a child things are frustrating, what happens as an adult from the result of your family placement can be very rewarding.

Being a middle child is not easy. I came from a large family and there was
not alot of attention to be had. I think it made me more self reliant. I had
to depend on myself so I did. Don't start wearing that middle child label too
much. I find it upsets my siblings when I start complaining. They don't
think that they had it so easy either.

I found it difficult. The oldest, the first born gets more respect, and the youngest, the baby, gets away with everything. And the middle child is just caught in the crossfire.
