Well you will have to search for the documents that you need by using mags, newspapers, and the internet.
But there are many reasons why they do. The most reason I have heard in my lifetime is that parents sometimes can see that they honestly can not afford to give thier children a good life!
Statics show that most teen parents give the baby up to grandparents, and personally I think it is the best choice a girl, and boy can make!
When you do your search, use key words magazine, newspaper ..ect. and it will give you many options that you can print and add to your report!
Good Luck!!

Either because they must....if the actual parents are not around or they jsut do it because they think that they are not being raised properly...so they step in with their knowledge and experience in raising children and raise the grandchildren

my mother in law watches my step son almost everyday because my husband and i work full time maybe even overtime. we have a routine everyday which ends up with us picking up our son at around 5 pm everyday. since he's with his grandmother so much, he tends to learn a lot from her. he's 6 yrs old and hangs around his granmother all day either watching news or soap operas, doing homework, practicing flashcards and math, working on countng money and telling time. she takes him to run errands if needed, takes him the library and feed him healthy foods. a lot of her influence impacted our son to start growing up very responsible and smart at the same time allowing him to be a kid.

usually it is because the real parents cant. they cant raise them because the kids are wild( like on dawson's creek) or they just don't want them.
