I really depends on the type of exercise.... If you weight train - you most likely will build muscle. I happen to think the very best exercise is to walk...... walk outside. We walk 10 miles a day during spring & summer (harder in the lousy weather).... We do 5 miles in the morning and 5 miles at night.... but you have to allow time..... Weight melts off.... Exercise should be something you LIKE to do - so you consistently do it. Start with 2 miles a day and see how you feel - it's addictive, especially if it's outside.

I don't think so. To lose weight you have to eat a lot of whole grain foods, like cheerios and oatmeal. Also plenty of fruits and vegetables, and water. Don't eat anything with a lot of saturated fat, total fat, and cholesterol. I know this works because I lost over 30 pounds, and I didn't exercise one little bit !!!

You have to burn more calories than you take in. That's the bottom line. Use your good judgement when you eat. Eat slowly and reasonably, and of course as you said, get plenty of exercise - the more exerecise the better. Good luck!
