Take a large pot add water and a a few cinnamon sticks also add some ground cinnamon and some cloves bring to a simmer add pine cones and let them boil for roughly 10 minutes take pot off heat and let then sit in pot overnight drain and let dry these should allow for some nicely scented cones. For added smell just before completely dry toss them in a big ziploc with some more ground cinnamon and shake them up.
For a more apple cinnamon smell add some apple peels to the water mixture to infuse the scent within.

I would look on the web, or do some calling at my favorite mall. Look for a candle selling place, or craft store and ask about fragrant 'oils'. Use that to scent your pine cones. It might have to be repeated for next year, but it should last throughout the season.

Buy some cinnamon sticks from a craft store. In a plastic bag, grind them up, and put your pine cones in the bag. Seal the bag and shake it up every now and then.

no idea, lol, sprinkle them with cinnamon. Or, maybe, you could just leave them how they are, and light a cinnamon candle, cinnamon scened candle, not a candle made of cinnamon lol, so the air will smell like cinnamon. and leave the pinecones the same.
