To prevent the spread of germs and bacteria that can lead to illness and disease. Everything we touch has germs and bacteria, then you touch your eye, rub your nose, cough or sneeze into your hands, spreading it to everyone you come in contact with. Look under a microscope and you'll see what's crawling around us!
