Many people complain about many things, so I'm sure atheists do complain about that- like the whole pledge of allegiance thing.

I'm still questioning whether I believe in God or not, but I celebrate Christmas (not the real celebration of the supposed birth of Christ), and I've never complained about hearing Christmas music.

Why would we complain? Just because we don't beleive doesn't mean you are not allowed to, or have your festivals. In fact we have those same festivals, or at lease I do, I may not be a believer, but I am of 'christian' culture, and christmas is part of my culture, and that includes the nativity and jesus. It's a great story, whether you beieve or not.

I complain about christmas music, but not 'cuz it mentions Jesus. I don't care about that, as I am not so shallow minded and ignorant as to think that my beliefs are all that matter- nope, I just ***** about how many times in a row they play the theme song to Peanuts (cool piano song, but how many times a day do you have to play it? can we have a little more variety- I'd even settle for country as long as its not THAT over and over and over...)

Do Christians really believe that atheists complain about this kind of thing? Do they have any reason for believing it other than because Fox News tells them it's true?

Why are Christians so eager to believe that they're being persecuted? Why do they believe it's okay to make up stories to support that belief?

I don't believe in God, but I'm not about to take away what little joy the idea of a Creator gives religious people by complaining about a Christmas carol that mentions baby Jesus. Who am I to destroy their sense of comfort? As long as they don't hate me for being gay, live and let live...

Freedom of religion means that we have the right to play that music but we don't have a right to force one to listen to it. Therefore if one doesn't like the music one can shop somewhere else.

I don't go in "New Age" Shops or visit Tarot Card readers because of my beliefs but I don't protest their existence. Each person should have the freedom to believe what they chose as long as it doesn't interfere with the freedoms of the next person.

No, but I roll my eyes a lot. I love the non-religious holiday songs, like Sleigh Ride and Silver Bells.

No. I grew up with an atheist daddy and he just really didn't give a crap about religion. As long as they didn't mess with his family and home life.

By the way he is the best daddy ever!!!!
