I would have to say yes, but as with everything in life there are stipulations to that. It has a lot to do with your body type and such also. For instance I am 5'3 and weigh 180. I am stalky. I don't look fat but my doctor says I am obese. The healthy weight according to my docotr for my size is 135. So the best thing I can tell you is your doctor may not always be correct check around and do some research first, before you decide that you are fat and need to diet.

You have not specified your age. If you are around 24-25 your weight at 155 lbs. is an ideal weight. However,if you are younger you may be slightly overweight whereas if you are older you may be underweight. See the chart below:
BMI 19 20 21 22 23 2 4 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32
67 121 127 134 140 146 153 159 166 172 178 185 191 198 204
33 34 35
211 217 223

BMI= Body Mass Index
The weights are in pounds.

Please try to adjust your weight accordingly for a health life.
Best of luck.

Yes it is, you are not overweight, you are at the higher end of the healthy weight range. Although, this does not give an indication of your body fat percentage which should be no more than 32% if you are female an no more than 25% if you are male. HTH.
