An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death.
He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated.
He wants man to understand and love man.
He wants an ethical way of life.
He knows that we cannot rely on a god nor channel action into prayer
nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter.
He knows that we are our brothers' keepers and keepers of our own lives;
that we are responsible persons, that the job is here and the time is now."

To me, being an Atheist simply means that you believe there is no higher power. The world we live in ( stars and planets included) is all there is.

Your religion is usually politics and science where you believe Bush or Clinton will save you and Biologists who will answer questions with missing links (non-existant) when asked about evidence explains your existence by random chance.

person is not reconizing an entity as word called god they believe more as nature is their path after all everything is onness and we can't escape from that nature ssoner or later we will get trap in the same phenomen

It means that you need to find your own source of morality, meaning, values, etc... You probably believe in science as the arbiter of truth.

Isn't there only one definition for Atheist? I have yet to hear 'other' types of Atheists out there...

simple. it means to be just like everyone else.
but when bad thigns happen you dont give credit to satan, when good things happen you dont give credit to god and on sundays you hang out t home and mow the lawn.
i couldnt imagine being a christian, i cant willfully be ignorant. i cant refuse to accept logic, i cant ignore facts when they stare directly at me. plus my brain came with logic and common sense software preinstalled.
