Yes I occassionaly have a glass of wine with my dinner..... or even a cold beer on a hot day .... The word does not tell us not to drink it tells us not to be a drunkard.
Jesus himself turned water to wine at a wedding (his first miracle) and many say it wasnt alcoholic wine.. anyone believing that has never been to a hebrew wedding because they said it was the best wine.....
If Jesus were totally against alcohol why would a loving Father provide something for his children that he himself would teach against and not partake of himself.

If you choose not to drink an alcoholic beverage wonderful.... thats a personal choice some people know their limitations or what they like or dislike.... many people simply dont like the taste its not a "moral" decision.
But still a decision of personal choice.

There are those that will condemn one person for drinking a glass or wine or a beer because its alcohol... and they are "defiling the temple".... yet they do this while they are standing there 50lbs overweight and planning their next stop at the buffet......
None of us should cast those stones.... we can learn from his own example... make our choices accordingly .... and if you have a glass of wine or a cold beer .... give thanks .... Give God honor and thanks for all things in your life.

God bless :)

Jesus' first miracle was changing water into wine. He did preach about drunkeness and the sin of glutney which includeds just about every thing like alchohol. I don't think drinking alcohol as a Christians is wrong, but when you overindulge and lose absolute control over thought and actions.

The Bible condems drinking to excess. It doesn't tell where to draw the line between being sober and being drunk, so we have to decide for ourselves if we are going to take that risk. The use of alcohol impairs the qualities one must possess to be pleasing to God such as self-control, reason, and sound judgment (1Pet. 1:6; 4:7; Gal. 5:23). It is difficult at times to live and act properly before God when one is sober, let alone while under the influence of alcohol.
yes i drink red wine.

I do drink alcohol and I'm a christian. Like many have stated before drinking is not forbidden inthe Bible, but drunkeness is. I'm man enough to admit that I've fallen into drunkedness way too many times. I'm probably the guy that most atheists point at and go "pfft... and he's a Christian".

No, I don't drink alcohol. Not because I think that it is a sin but because I used to be a drunkard before I became a Christian and so I know that it isn't in God's will for my life to drink anymore. I don't recommend that anyone else drink alcohol but I don't condemn my brothers or sisters who want to have a glass of wine with their dinner like Jesus did with his disciples. The supposition that Jesus only drank grape juice is nonsense, especially when you consider that He most certainly made wine for the wedding guests.

John 2:3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

It's not like people put out the best "grape juice" at the beginning and then after they've drank enough they won't notice a lesser quality of grape juice.

Only on occasion, like our Anniversary, or we are at a social gathering we may drink a couple of glasses of wine. We don't drink in excess though.

"wine" is grape juice in greek, fermented or not. Grape juice is solid for wellbeing, alcohol is a delicate poison. people use alcohol because of the fact they don't look to be ingesting "the hot Wine" of God's Spirit made obtainable by ability of the death of Jesus ("the authentic Vine). people who have God's Spirit (evidenced by ability of conversing in tongues) haven't any desire of alcohol. they are Kings and priests of God. "this is not for kings, O Lemuel, this is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes sturdy drink: Lest they drink, and forget the regulation, and pervert the judgment of any of the stricken. provide sturdy drink unto him it is able to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts." (Proverbs 31:4-6)
