He purchased her as a gift for me for quitting smoking, and when I left the house after a nasty fight he took her and all my stuff to his friends house. He said I can have my belonings but there is no way im getting the dog. What should I do?????

i no you were looking for legal but this will probaly be the easiest thig wait till he puts the dog outside and unhook it and take it

This is more than likely just a way to manipulate you. Get yourself another dog and leave him holding the dog and his manipulative ways. Bet in a month or two, he will be begging you to take the dog back.

you can take him to small claims and fight for the dog. it was a gift to you so the dog belongs to you regardless of him purchasing it with his own money. im sure if you go the local courthouse they can direct you in the rigth papers to fill out and steps to take to get to court.
