Our thoughts on which part? whether you should go to Iraq OR Afghanistan?
Do you have a choice? Have you been given the briefing?
What are your OWN thoughts?
Good luck.

Spend as much time with the people you love and care about and appreciate the things you have in life. Tell everyone to pray a lot for your safety. =) Stay safe! My exbf was in the Nat'l Guard too. Thank you for being so brave and fighting for our country.

Good Luck, and God Speed. Do our country proud. Remember you are part of the best military the world has known. keep your head up, keep your mind sharp, keep your loved ones in your heart. Remember no matter what the idiots on here say, the enemy is evil. You are doing a good thing. You are doing the right thing.
Shoot straight!

Good luck.
Try to join soldiers angels-
you can get a pen pal that will send you care packages.

Also, remember that war is not life, try to keep your wits about you as you will see images and smell smells and be a part of atrocities that will be hard for your brain and sanity.
Most of us here at home respect, love, honor and worry for you.

Well, you are going to have a lot of long days and get to participate in really crummy weather.
But you will come back a veteran. You will have been the person who earned the freedoms your neighbors assume they get for free.

Keep it together, my thoughts are always with the next set that deploys. You will be fine - just plan a huge homecoming party so you have something to look forward to when ya return.
