Fantastic question... as to "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi chi", -what's the point in threatening an atheist with something ridiculous? Upset you can't beat him over the head with a bible?

I would want the evidence sent to a laborotary to be analyzed while my Brothers and Sisters in Christ prayed that some Atheist didnt taint the evidence

If you're sane, you would want it to go to the laboratory. If you suffer from illusions of grandeur or dementia, you would either pray over it or kill someone else in the name of god.

A lab, do they think God/dess is going to come down from the sky and tell them I'm guilty or not guilty?
