I am drinking a lot of green tea today to help me focus on a particularly difficult school assignment, and also to help curb my appetite (when I get stressed w. school I eat). How much is too much? 2 cups? 6 cups? 15 cups? Does it act kind of like coffee? Thanks.

I know that drinking too much of any type of tea can be bad on you bladder. But green tea in moderation can be very heathy for you. Try to balance out your drinking of tea with drinking of water.

yes.. it's way too much.. though good tea has a lot of antioxidant effect and help you lose weight ( definitely a healthier choice).. 6 cups is way too much... ( of course depending on the size of the cups)
green tea is still tea, so it contains caffeine which too much will hinder the nutreints absorption in the body.. caffeine also cause you to have sleeping problems, and tea is diurectic, so you might strain your kidneys..
tea is "cooling" in the chinese medical terms.. and it might caused "imbalance" in the systems .. if you take a lot of fried, grill food or is a meat lover(all these are "heaty " food) .. then it's okie to drink more tea.. but i will say.. stop at 4...

Yep, caffeine is caffeine. I say stop at six cups if you are used to drinking at least 2 a day, if not stop at 4. Caffeine also gives your kidneys and bladder a beating, so if you are prone to those types of infections you might want to say no. Ginko and fish oil are supposed to help with focus and give you energy. Just a thought.

Its WAY healthier than coffee. Maybe 2 cups is enough.

People vary a lot in what is ok for them.

Some folks daily regular diets would KILL some other folks.

Green tea is a diuretic. It cleans your system of unwanted poisons that cause illness. Yes, you can drink too much green tea, you can drink too much water. It will kill you if you drink too much of anything.
