Most of us are at a very basic level of morality..that is we do things out of fear of punishment or in expectation of reward.

Many people are concerned with hurting other peoples feelings. But the truth is better in the long run...heck immediately.

OK, tell the truth...why did you post this in the Military category? Sounds more like Relationships or Philosophy?
